raea (she/hers) is a spirited and whimsical Leathergirl and slave to Master Leather Redux. She formally started her path in BDSM and Leather in late 1999 in California through M/s dynamics, munches, and the leather community. In the 2010s, raea took her first steps in facilitating discussion groups on Authority Transfer dynamics for SFDsDG and the Santa Cruz Submissive Circle.

Her foray into the leather community blossomed through volunteering and joining local leather clubs, igniting her passion for community. At present, raea serves as a Lead Co-Director with Master Leather Redux for MAsT: Chicago and is a member of the Advisory Committee for the Leather Solidarity Collective. As an educator, she intertwines her expertise as a mental health professional with her teachings, focusing on fostering healthy Authority Transfer Dynamics, honing negotiation skills, and embracing the art of service.

Tito Joey (He/Him)Tito Joey is your favorite spicy Filipino guncle at every family gathering. He had his first taste of leather and BDSM in 2009 but never fully immersed himself in the community until 2023 after meeting several influential members of Onyx Midwest who truly embodied what he was missing at the beginning: service to the community. Keeping that as his driving force, Tito Joey has carved out a path for himself as a bootblack in Chicago, IL and neighboring states with guidance from many bootblacks across the globe. He is the co-founder of Second City Bootblacks, a collective with the mission to provide education, create visibility and build community with bootblacks across the city.

Tito Joey has polished heels and toe caps in his hometown Chicago, IL for the Leather Archives and Museum, Chicago Hellfire Club, C.O.D.E., and Onyx Midwest. He has been invited to lend his services at IMsLBB in Piscataway, NJ, Open Shine for IML, Cream City PaH’s Tennis Ball in Milwaukee, WI, and Sash Bash in Iowa City, IA.

When not in leather and over-the-knee boots, Tito Joey can be found practicing ikebana, the Japanese art of floral arranging and delightfully cooking and baking for his fiancé Daddy G and their chosen family.

Master Leather Redux (She/Hers) and raea (she/hers) hail from the Windy City where they live together as Master and slave. Together they are Co-Directors for MAsT Chicago, host a monthly education series at the Leather Archives and Museum, and have shared their expertise through teaching engagements virtually and in person both locally and nationally. They founded House Kampilan together which celebrates their Filipino heritage and they strongly believe in the power of resilience to recover from and to push back against adversity.

Master Leather Redux and raea both have rich histories in the leather and broader LGBTQ communities. Master Leather Redux began in the Chicago Leather Community in 1989 and was very active within the community until 1994 when she switched gears focusing on family and remaining active with LGBTQ issues and AIDS related activism. She returned to the Leather lifestyle in 2016 and began teaching in 2020. raea started her journey in 1999 through M/s dynamics, munches, and the leather community in California. Her passion for community began with volunteering and joining local leather clubs. This led her to grassroots organizing and social movements, drawing her from California to the East Coast before settling in Chicago.

They are both deeply rooted in the leather tradition and their devotion to community service shines through as they endeavor to share knowledge and educate whenever possible. They strongly believe in making education fun and focusing on the connections that we make with one another.
